LEGOLAND Florida at a glance

LEGOLAND Florida Resort is a LEGO-themed park of about 150 acres on the shore of Lake Eloise, on the grounds of the old Cypress Gardens. LEGOLAND aims it at ages 2 to 12; it works best from 3 to 10.

  • Best for: Ages 3 to 10, LEGO fans above all. Toddlers get DUPLO Valley; kids of 11 and up are usually done by mid-afternoon.
  • Tickets: Official online prices start at $39 per kid and $79 per adult for the 1-Day LEGOLAND + SEA LIFE ticket on select dates, an offer that ends November 1, 2026. The gate price starts at $129.
  • Time needed: One full day for the theme park. Plan two if you add Peppa Pig Theme Park or the water park.
  • Don’t miss: Galacticoaster (new in 2026), LEGO NINJAGO The Ride, Driving School, MINILAND USA and Granny’s Apple Fries.
  • Getting there: About 45 minutes by car from the Orlando theme parks and 45 to 60 minutes from International Drive, via I-4 West and US-27 South. The $8 LEGOLAND Express shuttle runs from ICON Park on select dates.
  • Watch out for: Select Wednesday closures, short hours (often 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and the water park, which is closed from November 2, 2026 until its 2027 season.

If you are still choosing between LEGOLAND and Peppa Pig for a toddler, or want the height list on one screen, our LEGOLAND Florida with kids page covers ages, heights and the Peppa Pig choice in short form. This guide is the full ticket, ride and planning reference.

What is LEGOLAND Florida, and who is it for?

LEGOLAND Florida is Merlin Entertainments’ kid-scale LEGO theme park. Its rides, play areas and 4D films are designed for children, with no big thrill rides for teenagers. It opened in 2011 on the grounds of Cypress Gardens, Florida’s classic water-ski and botanical attraction, which closed in 2009. Merlin bought the 145-acre site for a reported $22.3 million, according to 83 Degrees Media. The original botanical gardens survive inside the park, including a banyan that, per LEGOLAND’s official blog, Julie Pope planted in 1939 from a seedling that arrived in a five-gallon bucket. The gardens are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Age guide:

  • Under 3: A good day if older siblings come along. DUPLO Valley, the Junior Astronaut Training Zone (ages 1 to 4) and the splash pads suit them, and under-2s get in free.
  • 3 to 5: The best age for Junior Driving School, the DUPLO rides, NINJAGO and Galacticoaster (from 36 inches, with a companion). Pair the day with Peppa Pig Theme Park.
  • 6 to 10: Peak LEGOLAND. Driving School licenses, The Dragon, Coastersaurus, The Great LEGO Race and the water park all land with this age.
  • 11 to 13: Fine if they love LEGO, but the rides are mild. Galacticoaster, the Great LEGO Race and MINILAND will hold them for half a day.
  • Teens and adults without kids: Adults are welcome and children aren’t required for entry. Unless you are an adult LEGO fan, your money goes further at Universal or SeaWorld.

How long does a visit take? Plan a full day, from opening to close. Short hours (often 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) mean you’ll use every minute. Families adding Peppa Pig, SEA LIFE and the water park should budget two days.

What’s new in 2026

  • Galacticoaster (opened February 27, 2026). The park’s first new coaster in 15 years and its first indoor coaster, an ART Engineering launch coaster in the new LEGO Galaxy area. Before boarding, teams of four design a spacecraft on RFID touchscreen kiosks, and LEGOLAND’s first animatronic, the robot Biff Dipper, appears in the preshow. Speed is up to 40 mph. Height: 36 inches minimum, and riders under 48 inches must ride with someone at least 13 years old and 48 inches or taller. ThemeParkInsider reported US$94 million across the Florida and California installations, Merlin’s largest-ever US in-park investment, and quoted Merlin CEO Fiona Eastwood: “Galacticoaster redefines the family coaster experience.” The Unofficial Guides put the cost at “over $90 million.”
  • Junior Astronaut Training Zone: a soft-play area next to Galacticoaster for ages 1 to 4.
  • LEGO Galaxy meet-and-greets with the new space Minifigures.
  • SEA LIFE Florida (2025): an aquarium at the park entrance with “more than 3,000 marine animals representing over 150 species,” per the official SEA LIFE Florida FAQ. Its 180° tunnel tank holds more than 150,000 gallons of water (Bay News 9). It is included with 1-day LEGOLAND tickets.
  • LEGOLAND Express shuttle (launched May 21, 2026): round trips from ICON Park on International Drive.
  • New annual pass lineup (from about August 31, 2026): Standard $179, Preferred $249 and Premium $299 replace Silver, Gold and Elite.

LEGOLAND Florida tickets and prices (2026)

The cheapest way in is an advance online ticket. As of October 2026, official prices start at $39 per child (ages 2 to 12) and $79 per adult for the 1-Day Theme Park + SEA LIFE ticket. Every ticket is dated and priced by demand, and the official site adds 7% Florida sales tax plus a processing fee. Our Orlando theme park tickets guide compares LEGOLAND’s prices with the other parks and multi-attraction passes.

Who gets in free: Children under 2. Everyone 2 and older needs a ticket, so the “under-3s free” claim you’ll see online is wrong. Kids’ tickets need at least one adult ticket in the same order.

Discounts to know about:

  • Military and first responders: Free admission to the theme park + SEA LIFE for visits from October 1 to November 30, 2026, verified via ID.me (water park not included), then discounted tickets afterward.
  • Florida teachers (Pre-K to 12): A complimentary Teacher Pass (blockouts apply).
  • AAA: Some regional clubs sell a 1-day ticket with parking included.
  • Groups of 15+: 15% off.
  • Go City Orlando: Some Go City passes, such as the Go City All-Inclusive Pass with Kennedy Space Center (4.4/5 from 63 reviews), list LEGOLAND among their attractions. A pass pays off only if you’ll visit several of the other attractions too; check the current attraction list before you buy.
  • Kids-go-free and BOGO coupons: These come and go with McDonald’s, Honest Kids and LEGO Life Magazine. None was running in October 2026.

Where to buy: the official site, GetYourGuide or a reseller

  • Official site (legoland.com/florida): Usually cheapest for kids, because it is the only seller with separate child pricing. It is also the only place for resident and hotel packages and Fastrack.
  • GetYourGuide: Sells the LEGOLAND Florida Resort + SEA LIFE Florida 1-Day Admission from $74, rated 4.3/5 from 92 reviews. You can add options for the Water Park or Peppa Pig and cancel up to 24 hours ahead. It is usually one price for ages 2 and up, so it suits adults and anyone who wants free cancellation. Our breakdown of the 1-day admission lists what the ticket includes.
  • Undercover Tourist and aRes Travel: Authorized resellers. aRes prices include tax and add a $2.99 fee per ticket.

Our pick: For two adults and two kids, price the official site first; the child pricing usually wins. For adult-heavy groups, or if you want free cancellation and one checkout alongside other Orlando tours, compare GetYourGuide. For a preschooler who only needs Peppa Pig, the Peppa Pig Theme Park ticket costs $34 there against $32 on the official site.

Fastrack (skip the line) and Rider Switch

As of October 2026, LEGOLAND sells four Fastrack tiers, each priced per person and per date, with admission not included:

TierPrice fromUsesGalacticoaster?
Bronze$263 one-time uses across 10 ridesNo
Silver$516 one-time uses across 10 ridesNo
Gold$81Unlimited, every ride except GalacticoasterNo
Platinum$111Unlimited, including GalacticoasterYes

Verdict: Skip Fastrack on quiet weekdays. On holiday weekends, Platinum is the only tier that covers the ride most kids want. The older “Reserve ‘N’ Ride” product no longer appears on the official site.

Rider Switch: Free at rides with height requirements. One adult waits with the child who is too small, then the adults swap without queuing again.

Does LEGOLAND have roller coasters? Yes, four: Galacticoaster (36"), The Dragon (40"), Coastersaurus (42") and The Great LEGO Race (42"). Mia’s Riding Adventure (48") rides like a coaster too. None goes faster than 40 mph.

LEGOLAND Water Park

LEGOLAND Water Park is a seasonal, kid-sized water park inside the theme park gates. It closed for the 2026 season on Sunday, November 1, 2026. In 2026 it reopened on February 14 and ran daily from May 23 to August 30, with select days in the other months; the 2027 opening date hasn’t been announced.

  • Tickets: There is no standalone water park ticket. You need a Multi-Park ticket (theme park + water park + SEA LIFE, same day), a 2-day package, or a Preferred or Premium annual pass.
  • Hours: Typically 11 a.m. to 4–6 p.m. It closes for a while when lightning is near.

  • Premium loungers: From about $59.
  • Lockers: From about $13 to $21 a day, card only.
  • Bring: Life vests are free. Bring your own towels and swimwear.

Verdict: Good for under-8s, and the Build-A-Raft River is unique. Treat it as a bonus afternoon, not a stand-alone water park day; our Orlando water parks guide covers the bigger parks open this winter.

Hours, crowds and the best time to visit

LEGOLAND Florida usually opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 5 p.m. on weekdays and 6 to 8 p.m. on weekends and holidays. It is closed on select Wednesdays (and some Tuesdays in the off-season), so check the official calendar before driving down.

  • Best months: Late January to February and September to early November (before Thanksgiving), on Tuesday to Thursday open days.
  • Busiest: Spring break, Thanksgiving week, December 21 to 31, and summer Saturdays.
  • Florida weather: June to September is hot, with near-daily afternoon thunderstorms. Coasters and the water park pause for lightning. Head for the indoor options: Galacticoaster, NINJAGO, the 4D theater, Imagination Zone and SEA LIFE.

  • Launch and route: Launched May 21, 2026; round trip from ICON Park, 8401 International Drive.

  • Disney Springs: A 9 a.m. Disney Springs pickup ran in summer 2026, but the official shuttle page and help center now list ICON Park only. Treat Disney Springs as discontinued unless the booking page shows it.

ICON Park is also home to SEA LIFE Orlando (4.4/5 from 495 reviews), a different aquarium from SEA LIFE Florida, if you have time on the evening you get back.

Parking: One lot serves LEGOLAND, Peppa Pig and the water park, with regular and covered spaces; motorcycles and RVs pay at the toll booth, and Preferred and Premium annual passholders park free. Rates change by date, so buy the voucher online when you book your tickets. The toll booths open 30 to 45 minutes before the park.

Other options:

  • Rideshare: Expect roughly an hour each way.
  • Private transfers: Sensible for groups of 5 or more. GetYourGuide had no Orlando-to-LEGOLAND transfer listed in October 2026.

LEGOLAND is one of several drives worth a day; our family day trips from Orlando compare the others.

Food and drink at LEGOLAND Florida

Food at LEGOLAND Florida is mostly quick-service kid fare. Budget about $15 per entrée, $8 to $10 per snack and about $4.50 per drink. Granny’s Apple Fries are the one thing to eat: cinnamon-sugar apple sticks with whipped-cream dip, which the park lists as gluten-free and dairy-free if you skip the cream.

In-park options:

  • Burger Kitchen and Kick’n Chicken Co. (LEGO City)
  • Pepper & Roni’s Pizza Stop (personal pizzas)
  • Deli Takeover (Imagination Zone)
  • Taco Everyday
  • Ninja Kitchen food truck
  • Brickolini’s Pizza & Pasta (older official pages call it the Fun Town Pizza & Pasta buffet; the help center now lists the à la carte restaurant)
  • Funnel Cake Factory
  • Firehouse Ice Cream
  • LEGOLAND Coffee Co.

Mobile ordering in the app works at select outlets.

Dining packages (official):

  • Standard: adult from $44, child from $23.
  • Deluxe: adult $70, child $23; adds a snack trio of apple fries, a pretzel and popcorn.
  • Ultimate: adult $78, child $26; dinner at Shipwreck Restaurant plus a souvenir cup.

Outside food policy:

  • Allowed: bottled water, small snacks, baby and medical food, small soft coolers.
  • Not allowed: alcohol, glass, heated or perishable food, large or wheeled coolers.

Allergies: Use the official Dietary Guide and ask at the counters.

Our tip: Bring snacks and refillable bottles, buy one proper lunch, and make apple fries the afternoon treat.

Where to stay: LEGOLAND hotels and Winter Haven

All three LEGOLAND hotels are fully themed. If you are also staying near Disney or Universal, compare all Orlando family hotels. Most bookings include breakfast, and kids get evening entertainment. The two hotels at the gate add Early Park Access: entry 30 minutes before opening to select areas only, namely SEA LIFE, the LEGO Shop, Coffee Co., Rebuild the World and Guest Services. Rides aren’t included.

Practical tips

  • Rentals: Strollers, wheelchairs and ECVs are available near the entrance. Wagons and backpacks are allowed.
  • Accessibility:
    • HERO Access Pass: Free from Guest Services, for up to 6 people. It gives return times instead of standing in line, and doesn’t work at the water park.
    • Certified Autism Center: Per the resort’s April 28, 2022 press release, LEGOLAND Florida became “the first theme park resort to become a Certified Autism Center™” through IBCCES (Sesame Place was earlier as a single theme park). Is LEGOLAND Florida worth the trip?

Yes, if your kids are 3 to 10. For that age group it is the least stressful full theme park day in Central Florida and the best value. Buy kids’ tickets direct on a midweek date and ride Galacticoaster at opening. With preschoolers, add Peppa Pig. For a family whose youngest is 11 or older, spend the day at Universal or SeaWorld instead, unless they’re serious LEGO fans.

Families with a car and a free day can book the LEGOLAND + SEA LIFE 1-Day Admission for the date they want; families still building the week should start with our things to do in Orlando with kids guide.
