The Short Answer
Which LEGOLAND day suits your family?
For kids of about 4 to 10, a LEGOLAND ticket with SEA LIFE Florida included is the easy choice: nearly every ride is sized for them and the aquarium comes free with it. For 2- to 5-year-olds, Peppa Pig Theme Park next door is gentler, smaller and cheaper.
LEGOLAND + SEA LIFE Florida
Driving School, Miniland and coasters with low height minimums, plus the aquarium on the same ticket. Plan a full day.
Peppa Pig Theme Park day
Six gentle rides, a splash pad and playgrounds built for preschoolers. It is a separate ticket from LEGOLAND.
LEGOLAND ticket with the Peppa Pig option
The two parks share grounds and parking, so one day can cover both. It is a long day, so start early.
Kennedy Space Center instead
LEGOLAND is designed for ages 2 to 12. Older kids usually get more from real rockets and simulators.

How a LEGOLAND Day Works With Kids
A simple plan for a full day in Winter Haven with young children.
Drive to Winter Haven early
The resort is about 45 minutes from the Orlando theme parks via I-4 and US-27. Buy your parking voucher online before you go.
Measure the kids first
Know each child's height before you arrive. Many rides start at 34, 36, 40 or 42 inches, with a 14+ rider needed below 48.
Rides in the morning
Head for the coasters and Driving School while lines and heat are lowest. Driving School is for ages 6–13, Jr. Driving School for 3–5.
SEA LIFE for the hot afternoon
The aquarium takes 45 minutes to 1.5 hours and gives everyone an indoor break when the afternoon heat or storms arrive.

LEGOLAND Florida With Kids: Planning the Day
Ages, heights, Peppa Pig or LEGOLAND, the water park and the drive, one decision at a time.
Is LEGOLAND Florida right for your kids?
LEGOLAND Florida is one of the easiest big days out from Orlando for families with young children, because the whole park is built around them. It is designed for kids aged 2 to 12, and the park itself says ages 4 to 10 get the most from it. Rides are sized for small riders, the coasters have low height minimums, and the parents’ job is mostly holding the bags.
A 3-year-old gets Jr. Driving School, gentle rides and LEGO play everywhere. A 7-year-old gets the real prize: Driving School for ages 6 to 13, The Dragon and The Great LEGO Race, and Galacticoaster, the indoor launch coaster in LEGO Galaxy. A 13-year-old who is not a LEGO fan is likely to feel too old by lunchtime. For tweens and teens, Kennedy Space Center with kids is usually the better day.
The LEGOLAND Florida Resort + SEA LIFE Florida 1-day ticket covers the theme park and SEA LIFE Florida, the aquarium on the resort site. SEA LIFE Florida is not sold on its own; it comes with a LEGOLAND ticket, so there is no reason to skip it.
Height requirements to check before you go
Measure your kids at home. A child who is one inch short of a ride they have been promised is a classic meltdown trigger, and an easy one to avoid.
| Ride | Minimum height | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Rescue Academy | 34 in | Under 48 in rides with someone 14+ |
| Technicycle | 36 in | Under 48 in rides with someone 14+ |
| Galacticoaster | 36 in | Under 48 in rides with someone 13+ and 48 in+ |
| The Dragon | 40 in | Under 48 in rides with someone 14+ |
| The Great LEGO Race | 42 in | 42–48 in rides with someone 14+ |
| Coastersaurus | 42 in | |
| Driving School | Ages 6–13 | Jr. Driving School is for ages 3–5 |
The optional VR headset on The Great LEGO Race costs extra and is not included in admission. With two young kids and one adult, the “rider aged 14 or older” rules mean you cannot always ride with both at once, so bring a second adult or older sibling if you can.
LEGOLAND or Peppa Pig Theme Park?
Peppa Pig Theme Park is a separate, standalone park just steps from the LEGOLAND entrance, sharing the resort’s grounds and parking. It needs its own ticket, and it is aimed squarely at ages 2 to 5. It has six rides, including Daddy Pig’s Roller Coaster (36 inches) and Grampy Rabbit’s Dinosaur Adventure (age 2 and 34 inches), plus pedal cars, fair games, playgrounds and the Muddy Puddles Splash Pad. Many of its attractions have no height limit at all. Our Peppa Pig Theme Park Florida guide covers every ride, the splash pad, food rules and a half-day plan.
Choose the Peppa Pig Theme Park ticket if all your kids are under about 5 and love the show. It is smaller, calmer and shorter; on the day we checked it was open 10 AM to 4 PM. Choose LEGOLAND if anyone in the group is 5 or older, or taller than 40 inches, because a school-age child will run out of things to do at Peppa Pig within a couple of hours. Our breakdown of the Peppa Pig ticket has the details.
Can you do LEGOLAND and Peppa Pig in one day?
Yes, and it works best for one specific family: a preschooler plus an older sibling. The parks share a parking lot and sit steps apart, and the LEGOLAND ticket on this page has an option that adds Peppa Pig Theme Park entry.
The catch is time. On the day we checked, LEGOLAND ran 10 AM to 5 PM and Peppa Pig 10 AM to 4 PM, and SEA LIFE Florida alone takes 45 minutes to 1.5 hours. Doing all three with young kids is a sprint. A calmer plan is Peppa Pig first thing while the toddler is fresh, lunch, then LEGOLAND for the rest of the afternoon, and SEA LIFE only if energy lasts. If naps are non-negotiable, split the parents between parks. For the other days of the trip, our guide to things to do in Orlando with kids lays out 3-, 5- and 7-day plans.
Water park, Brick or Treat and the season
The LEGOLAND Water Park needs a same-day LEGOLAND ticket plus the water park option; it is not sold on its own. It has a lazy river, a wave pool and slides such as Twin Chasers (42 inches) and the Joker Soaker slides (40 inches). It is seasonal: from August 31 to November 1, 2026 it opens on weekends only, and it closes for the season after November 1 until 2027. Do not pay for the water park option on a weekday this autumn.
Brick or Treat, the park’s Halloween event, runs on select dates from September 5 to November 1, 2026, and is included with general admission. Expect trick-or-treating from 2 PM to 7 PM, a Halloween version of Galacticoaster and a drone show on select weekends. Full-face masks are not allowed for kids or adults, so plan costumes accordingly.
Park hours change by season and the park is closed on some weekdays in the off-season, so check the official calendar before you set a date. Water rides can close when lightning is nearby, which is common on summer afternoons.
Getting there, strollers and costs beyond the ticket
LEGOLAND Florida is in Winter Haven, about 45 minutes from the Orlando theme parks: take I-4 west to US-27 south, then SR 540. You need a car or the paid LEGOLAND Express shuttle from Orlando. Parking is extra, and vouchers are sold online in advance.
Bring your own stroller or wagon, or rent one at the gate for about $20 single or $25 double (as of 2026), first come, first served. Food, drinks and parking are not included in the ticket, so budget for lunch and snacks. The splash pads and water play mean spare clothes and a towel in the stroller basket are a good idea at both parks.
Book this if, pick something else if
Book LEGOLAND Florida if your kids are between about 3 and 10, love LEGO or first coasters, and you can give it a full day with a car. Our full LEGOLAND ticket and ride guide has the prices, Fastrack tiers, hours and every ride by land. Choose Peppa Pig Theme Park if everyone is under 5.
Pick something else if your kids are 12 or older, or if you want a short outing without a drive. SEA LIFE Orlando on International Drive is a quick indoor alternative, covered in our indoor family activities guide. For other long outings, see family day trips from Orlando, Orlando with kids besides Disney, or match activities to ages in our which family activity is right for you guide.

What Families Say About LEGOLAND Florida
Ratings and review counts are the operators' live figures on GetYourGuide and may shift slightly day to day.
"The park was bigger than expected, the hours of the park being open are short but we had fun"
"Legoland was absolutely amazing. Our grandkids loved it but we did not get to do the waterpark due to weather . They said Lighting was in the vicinity so they had to shut down all the water rides. But they did tell us we could bring back our tickets and get back in for another day. I hope that's true as my grandkids really wanted to do the water park."
"My husband and I (both seniors - in our 70s and 80s respectively) had not been to Legoland in many years. It was our anniversary and we wanted to do something with good walking and local (we live in Winter Haven). What a wonderful day we had - leisurely strolling through part of the park. We started with the Sea Life building and it is a good start for introducing kids to our seas and the creatures there, and our responsibilities to nurture and maintain them. We headed to MiniLand USA. Wow! When we saw it yearsw ago it was just a small fraction of what it is now. Quite a lot of Legos and creataive construction has gone into MiniLandUSA of today!! Then we headed back to the old Cypress Gardens. It was evident that the repeated freezes we suffered this winter hit hard there. But there are signs that Legoland had not abandoned it. We pray it will continue to be maintained. Then, of course, we had to stop at Granny's Apple Fries. Those are still sooooo delicious!!!! You've got to have some"
"Awesome everything went exactly how it should have and my son had No complaints on his birthday thank you all so much !!!!"

"It was amazing!! Lots of walking but my family of 6 had lots of fun!"

"The price was very good comparison with the price on the Legoland site (was a tiket for days with low presention) but beeing in february, some of the attraction was close."
"It was good but you have to give more details for water park entrance and sea life entrance that’s the only thing that I didn’t like but the rest was fun my kids enjoyed"

Check Availability & BookLEGOLAND Florida With Kids: Parents' Questions
Ages, heights, Peppa Pig, SEA LIFE, the water park and the drive, answered for families planning the day.
LEGOLAND Florida is designed for kids aged 2 to 12, and the park itself says ages 4 to 10 get the most from it. That is the sweet spot where kids pass most ride minimums, can drive at Driving School (ages 6 to 13) and still think LEGO is magic. Under-4s have a good day with Jr. Driving School and gentle rides, while most teens feel too old for it.
Yes, with the right expectations. Children under 2 get in free, Jr. Driving School is for ages 3 to 5, and several rides start at 34 or 36 inches. A toddler will still be too short for the bigger coasters, though. If all your kids are 2 to 5, Peppa Pig Theme Park next door is built just for that age and may suit you better, and you can bring your own stroller or wagon.
Rescue Academy starts at 34 inches, Technicycle and Galacticoaster at 36, The Dragon at 40, and The Great LEGO Race and Coastersaurus at 42. On most of these, riders under 48 inches must go with a rider aged 14 or older; for Galacticoaster the companion must be at least 13 and 48 inches tall. In the water park, Twin Chasers needs 42 inches and the Joker Soaker slides 40.
Choose Peppa Pig Theme Park if every child is about 2 to 5; it is small, calm and built for preschoolers, with six rides, playgrounds and a splash pad. Choose LEGOLAND if anyone is 5 or older, because a school-age child will run out of things to do at Peppa Pig quickly. The two are separate parks with separate tickets, but they sit steps apart and share parking.
Yes. The parks share grounds and parking, and some LEGOLAND tickets have an option that adds Peppa Pig entry. It is a long day with young kids, though: on the day we checked, LEGOLAND ran 10 AM to 5 PM and Peppa Pig 10 AM to 4 PM. Do Peppa Pig first while the youngest is fresh, then LEGOLAND, and treat SEA LIFE Florida as a bonus if energy lasts.
Yes. SEA LIFE Florida, the aquarium on the LEGOLAND resort site, is included with LEGOLAND Florida theme park tickets and eligible annual passes, and it is not sold separately. It has more than 3,000 animals, an underwater tunnel and touch pools. Plan on 45 minutes to 1.5 hours, ideally in the hot middle of the afternoon when an indoor break helps everyone.
Only on weekends. From August 31 to November 1, 2026 the water park opens on weekends only, and it closes for the season after November 1 until 2027. You need a same-day LEGOLAND ticket plus the water park option, since it is not sold on its own. Check the official calendar before paying for the water park add-on, especially for a weekday visit.
Brick or Treat runs on select dates from September 5 to November 1, 2026, and is included with general admission. It adds trick-or-treating from 2 PM to 7 PM, a Halloween version of Galacticoaster, a light trail and a drone show on select weekends. Full-face masks are not allowed for kids or adults. Check the official event page for the exact dates, since it runs mostly on weekends.
LEGOLAND Florida is in Winter Haven, about 45 minutes from the Orlando theme parks according to the resort. The route is I-4 west to US-27 south, then SR 540, with the entrance about 4 miles along. You need a car or the paid LEGOLAND Express shuttle, and parking vouchers are sold online. Our family day trips guide compares it with other drives.
Yes. Strollers rent at the Stroller/ECV Rentals spot just left of the turnstiles, for about $20 for a single or $25 for a double (as of 2026, before tax), first come, first served. You can also bring your own stroller or wagon, which saves money and means the nap setup your child already knows. Pack spare clothes too, since splash areas are hard for small kids to resist.
Plan a full day. The resort has more than 50 attractions, and adding SEA LIFE Florida takes another 45 minutes to 1.5 hours. With kids under 4, many families are done by mid-afternoon, which is fine. Hours change by season and the park is closed on some weekdays in the off-season, so check the calendar before you set a date and allow about 45 minutes each way for the drive.
Usually yes for a LEGO fan, and less so for a child who is already into big coasters. At 10 your child can ride everything, drive at Driving School and ride Galacticoaster, but the thrills are gentler than at the big Orlando parks. For kids 10 and up who love science, Kennedy Space Center is a strong alternative day out.
Yes. SEA LIFE Orlando is a separate aquarium on International Drive at ICON Park, with a 360-degree underwater tunnel and a touch pool, and ICON Park has free parking on garage floors 4 to 7. It makes a short indoor outing without the drive to Winter Haven. See our indoor family activities guide for how it compares with other rainy-day picks.
