iFLY Orlando First Time Flyer Experience

About This Experience
This is iFLY Orlando's package for first-timers on International Drive. After check-in, an instructor runs a training session on the basics of body flight, then everyone suits up in a flight suit, helmet, goggles, earplugs and shoes. Each flyer gets two minutes of flight time in the vertical wind tunnel, with an instructor alongside holding and guiding them the whole time.
iFLY lets children fly from age 3 with no upper age limit, and first-time packages usually split the tunnel time into two 60-second flights. Allow about an hour and a half from check-in to finish. Family members who aren't flying can watch through the tunnel glass.
It is loud, windy and more physical than it looks, even for a minute at a time. Staff evaluate each flyer at check-in, and some conditions rule people out: pregnancy, back, neck, shoulder or heart problems, hard casts, and anyone over 300 pounds. Photos and video cost extra. The listing marks this booking non-refundable, so make sure your kids are keen before you pay.
Nervous children often come around once they watch someone else fly, and instructors are used to coaching scared first-timers. For a child who hates wind in the face or loud fans, a watch-only visit or a different activity is the kinder choice.

It was a great experience as I sat and watched my daughter who is about to be 11 on the 20th, enjoyed every bit of this experience. Despite her being fearful, she over came and she had ball!!!

It was fantastic! My husband and children loved it. The feeling of flying is incredible. The instructor was lovely and attentive, and thanks to him, the experience was even better. He explains things well and cares about his clients' well-being. We will definitely go back for this experience, and if you want to have a great time, go without hesitation!

I’ll admit I was nervous and a little scared at first, but can you believe the instructor with our group was the sweetest? He really encouraged me and helped me feel so much more at ease! In the end, the experience was completely different from what I imagined — it was fun, light, and even a little funny! It feels just like you're actually flying — but without jumping out of a plane! I chose the package with 2 flights, which means I had 2 separate moments in the wind tunnel with an instructor, each lasting 60 seconds!

Frequently Asked Questions
How old do kids have to be for iFLY?
iFLY lets children fly from age 3, and there is no upper age limit. Every flyer is checked at check-in, and an instructor stays with them in the tunnel.
How long is the actual flight?
This package gives each flyer two minutes of tunnel time, usually as two 60-second flights. The whole visit, with training and gearing up, takes about an hour and a half.
Is it scary for kids?
The tunnel is loud and the wind is strong, which surprises some children. Instructors hold and guide first-timers the whole time, and many nervous kids relax after their first flight. Let a hesitant child watch someone else go first.
Can a parent who is pregnant or has a bad back fly?
No. The listing rules out pregnant women and people with back or heart problems, and iFLY also excludes head, neck or shoulder injuries, hard casts and guests over 300 pounds. Those family members can watch from beside the tunnel.
Are photos included?
No. Photo prints, USB photo sets and video are sold separately after the flight.
