Orlando: Gatorland Skip-the-Line Ticket

About This Experience
Gatorland has been welcoming visitors through its giant gator-mouth entrance since 1949, and it is still family-owned. This ticket gets you straight in for the whole day, so you can plan around shows and naps and leave when the kids have had enough. It is about 15 to 20 minutes from the Disney area, and parking is free.
Inside, the day is built around three shows: the Gator Jumparoo, where big alligators lunge out of the water for food, Legends of the Swamp in a shaded 800-seat stadium, and an up-close encounter show. In between you can walk the boardwalks over the alligator breeding marsh, spot rare white alligators, feed goats at the petting farm, visit the free-flight aviary and let small kids run through the Gator Gully splash area.
The park is compact, and most families see everything in three to four hours. It is almost all outdoors, so summer afternoons get hot and storms can pause the shows. Outside food is not allowed, and extras like the train, animal encounters and stroller rental cost more, so the ticket is the starting point for the day, not the whole bill.
Toddlers usually love the petting zoo and splash area; teens may want to add the zip line. If you want wild alligators in their own habitat, pair this with an airboat ride, or pick a tour that combines both.

I absolutely loved it. me and my husband had a brilliant time. loved seeing all the different animals. done the close encounters with a snake, tarantula and of course the gators. it is fairly cheap to enter park. get refills ( not free but really cheap, under $1) if you buy the cups. you pay $5 or 10 for an animal encounter but you have to pay separately for the pictures. although they do allow you to take your own pictures. in my opinion it is great value for money. we spend the full day there. taking our time and enjoying everything. can be done quicker if you want to just rush round it but personally I don't see the point. if I am ever back in Florida (I'm from Scotland) I would definitely be back.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Gatorland good for toddlers?
Yes. It is compact, strollers work on the paths, and the petting farm and Gator Gully splash area are aimed at younger kids. Plan around one or two shows and head out before naptime.
How long do we need at Gatorland?
Most families spend three to four hours seeing the shows and animals. Add about two hours if anyone is doing the zip line.
Can we bring our own food?
No. Gatorland does not allow outside food, coolers or picnic baskets, so plan to eat at the park or before you arrive.
Is there shade?
Some. The Legends of the Swamp stadium is shaded and there are trees along the boardwalks, but much of the park is in the sun. Arrive at opening in summer.
When are the shows?
Gatorland runs its shows twice a day on a posted schedule that can change with the weather. Check the times at the entrance and build your visit around the Jumparoo.
